Community Guidelines
What's allowed — and what isn't — on NotHR
What we welcome
- First-person workplace experience. Share what happened to you, factually.
- Opinion clearly framed as opinion. "In my view, the management style was disorganised" is fine.
- Constructive feedback. Advice to management helps everyone.
- Honest ratings across management, compensation, culture, work-life balance, and safety.
What is not allowed
- Threats or menacing language — even if true. This is a criminal offence under Jamaica's Cybercrimes Act §9, separate from defamation.
- Unverified criminal accusations against named individuals. "The CEO is stealing" without proof is high-risk. Describe your experience instead.
- Doxxing or private information — names, phone numbers, addresses, ID numbers of individuals.
- Hate speech based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or origin.
- Spam, irrelevant content, or fake reviews planted by competitors or employers.
How moderation works
Every review passes through:
- Automated screen at submission — profanity, PII, and threatening-language heuristics. Trips hold for human review, not silent blocking.
- Human moderation before publishing.
- Community flagging — any signed-in user can flag; flags are reviewed by humans (no auto-removal).
- Formal complaints via our notice-of-complaint process.
Anonymity, honestly
We offer pseudonymity, not untouchable anonymity. Your email is verified at signup but never shown publicly. However, your identity can be compelled by a valid Jamaican court order. We never promise otherwise — overpromising anonymity would be both a liability and an ethics problem.
